The Flyaway Denim Jacket, Reinvented
We all have a denim jacket already, or think we do. But as Liza puts it, this one is a total departure from what we know about a denim jacket, what we love about a denim jacket. This season's version is polished, vibey, and just cool.
The standout detail is the back, a flirty silhouette called a flyaway that has come straight down the runway and is, in Liza's words, so flattering. Add in the cuffs and the color, and you get a piece that feels new and different. If you do not already have one, this is the one to get.
The White Turtleneck You’ll Live In
It might be the simplest piece on this list, and that is exactly the point. Liza calls herself a layering queen, and this turtleneck is her go-to for exactly that. She wears it under a blazer, under a button-down, under a denim jacket, and it pairs easily with almost everything already in your closet, from corduroy to denim to satin slacks, if you happen to have those on hand.
Simple does not mean small. It does not have to be super extra to be meaningful. Sometimes simple is best, and this white turtleneck is chic, elevated, and an absolute must-have.
Argyle Is Back, and Better
Liza's personal favorite of the season is the argyle sweater, a pattern that stepped away for a while and has returned as a major trend. It is super soft, the kind of piece you just want to live in.
What makes this version work is the restraint. Rather than a busy, head-to-toe argyle pattern, this sweater uses a delicate banner of the classic motif, easy and understated enough to wear anywhere. Pair it with your favorite denim, boots, or sneakers, and it becomes the sweater you reach for without thinking.
