There's a version of confidence that doesn't come from a highlight reel. It's the kind that shows up on an ordinary Tuesday, in the way you carry yourself when no one's watching, in the stories you've never quite figured out how to tell.
That's what we're looking for.
What Is the Democracy Confidence Queen Search?
We're on a search for our first-ever Confidence Queens. Five real women whose stories, style, and sense of self embody what Democracy Clothing has always stood for: that every body deserves to feel good in what it wears, and that confidence isn't one size fits all.
This isn't a traditional contest. There are no follower counts to qualify, no polished portfolios required. We want your real story, your real photo, and the version of you that shows up when you feel most like yourself.
What You Could Win
- Five winners will each receive:
- An all-expenses-paid trip to Los Angeles
- A personal fitting with Democracy Clothing President Caren Lettiere
- A full glam shoot
- A meet and greet with television personality Charity Lawson
- A full year as a Democracy Confidence Queen — including features in brand campaigns and community storytelling
This is more than a prize. It's a platform.
How to Enter
Entering is simple. Send your photo and your story to ConfidenceQueen@DemocracyClothing.com. Tell us who you are, what confidence means to you, and why you'd be proud to represent the
Democracy community. There are no rules about how long or short your story needs to be. Just make it yours.
Five winners will be announced beginning August 1st, one Queen per day, each introduced to the community through her own story and spotlight.
Entries close July 26th.
Why We're Doing This
Curve Equality has always been at the heart of what we make. But it's also the belief that every woman's story deserves to be seen and celebrated, not just the ones that fit a narrow idea of what confidence looks like. The Confidence Queen Search is our way of handing that platform to you.
